The history of the Information Department has so far only been treated briefly and superficially in publications about the HfG Ulm. For the book "Retrospectives" (2015), the editors compiled detailed chronologies that are summarised here on one page. In addition, there was a text about the history of the department and how it relates to the prehistory of the Ulm School. The text "Writing as a Design Discipline" available here is based on this text and has been revised and expanded. In addition, there is a short text that explains how the name "Information" came about. Furthermore, a synoptical overview of the department's teachers and students can be downloaded here as a PDF.
